"This too shall pass." It's a great reminder that for all our sufferings, it will pass, our hurts and pain will not last forever. And even the good times, it will pass, so let's cherish the moment and be grateful for it. Not everyone can experience what you experience. And in the name of riches, it's not those who can avail more but those who wants less. Lord, I pray that you help me number my days so i can gain a heart of wisdom for this life you have given in Jesus.

"We do not put Jesus in the backseat as Christians. We let the Lord guide our decisions and emotions." - Pastor Jun Divierte

We do not put Jesus in the backseat as Christians. We let the Lord guide our decisions and emotions. The apostle Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 6:14 (GW),

𝙎𝙩𝙤𝙥 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙪𝙣𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨. 𝘾𝙖𝙣 𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙬𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙗𝙚 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙨? 𝘾𝙖𝙣 𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙣 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙤𝙣 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙙𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨?

The Lord inspired Paul to write this to inform believers of the dangers that can arise if spirituality is jeopardized. Once a believer enter into this form of relationship, the following things could happen:
1. Your spiritual zeal for the Lord will wane.
2. Your children will be puzzled as to which belief is correct.
3. Your spouse may question your church practices.
4. Your faith of staying true to the Scriptures will be compromise.
When a Christian makes this compromise, it indicates that her emotion (heart) takes precedence over her faith in God which is unfortunate. The prophet Jeremiah in Jeremiah 17:9 writes, "𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙙𝙚𝙘𝙚𝙞𝙩𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨." You can tell whether you truly love Jesus Christ or not if you follow your heart rather than His command. The Lord Jesus Christ said,
“𝙄𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙢𝙚, 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙠𝙚𝙚𝙥 𝙢𝙮 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨." (𝙅𝙣. 14:15)
Many women fall into this emotional trap because they are probably afraid that they will never meet a responsible and mature Christian believer. It requires faith to wait for that one whom God has reserve for you. My wife was too preoccupied with serving the Lord in the church to think about relationships. As she concerns herself about the Lord's business, everything just fell into place, including our relationship. And we are glad that we were able to honor the Lord and be a witness to our children. In addition, I know some Christian women who are happily serving the Lord despite the fact that they are single.
Marriage, like having children, is a privilege, not a right. If the Lord is leading you to marriage, honor Him. One single woman said, "𝙄𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙤 𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙖𝙞𝙣 𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙡𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙚𝙣𝙙 𝙪𝙥 𝙞𝙣 𝙖 𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙙𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙝𝙤𝙣𝙤𝙧 𝙅𝙚𝙨𝙪𝙨 𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩." I admire the faith of this young Christian lady. After all, our lives do not revolve around marriage and relationships; rather, our world revolves around Jesus Christ, whom we love and honor. May the Lord grant you wisdom in your decision makings.
𝘽𝙪𝙩 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩, 𝙗𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙙 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙙𝙤𝙢 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙖𝙡. 𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙗𝙚 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪. - 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙩. 6:33, 𝙂𝙒

day forty two

Trust in the Lord, and do good;
dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness.
Delight yourself in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart
Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him, and he will act.
He wil bring forth your righteousness as the light,
and your justice as the noonday.
Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him;
fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way,
over the man who carries out evil devices.

Psalm 37:3-7

day thirty nine

Thank you, Jesus for today.
Thank you for reminding me that theres' nothing to worry.
Thank you for taking my burdens and making me rest.
Thank you for making me happy.

Lord, I pray for everyone who is having a hard time finding their rhythm in this season. I pray that you give them the beat of Your grace to sing and dance. I pray that you open their eyes to your beauty. Let them marvel in your sunrise, let them be in awe of your sunset. Let your people wonder in the cool of the night. I pray that we get to know Your delight in the laughters we hear from Your creations. I

Lord, continue to provide wisdom, strength and protection for our leaders as they devise ways to address the need of Your nation. I pray that You bless them and keep in good condition always.

We also pray, Father, that You stop the schemes of the enemy to destroy the future of Your people. The enemy is using this time to also double the effort in making Your people sin. Lord, I pray that You destroy what will lead us to harm. For Your plan for us is to proper us and not to harm us, plans to give us hope and a future. God, remember your people and deliver us from this death in our souls, worse than any virus or disease.

We continue to trust you in this season, God.
We're waiting on You.
Everything is slowing down and breathing.
Thank You for this opportunity to discover.
Thank You for this deepening.
Thank You for this refining.
Thank You for this pruning.
Thank You for this healing.
Thank You for this restoration.
Thank You for this growth.
Thank You for this strenthening.

day thirty eight

Here's a few things that got me thinking today:

It's hard to pray in behalf if you don't deny yourself.
It's lonely to be alone.
Our days are numbered.

I don't know what is in God's mind why He isn't lifting this pandemic,
but sure enough He is calling out to His people.

Lord, I pray that everyone will not let hatred take over. I pray that everyone will get to see every silver lining you offer in this situation. Though some things might not be addressed, I pray that it will not cause a rebellious heart, an unbelieving heart in them. I pray that you keep everyone from this poison in their souls, bringing death to one another.

I pray that every morning, people will experience your pursuit. God, I pray that you answer every seeking heart. I pray that you come and whisper your love to every person who is deperate tonight. I pray that you bring peace and sleep for people who are experiencing anxiety, depression, traumas, and fear. God, have mercy on your people. Come and deliver us from our own demise. Our miseries are leaving us condemned and paralyze. A broken and contrite heart, O God, You do not despise. Listen to our pleas, Father. Help us get over. Sheperd us. Lead us. We turn our hearts to you.

Praying that people will come to know Your will God. For where your will is, we are the safest. Praying for all the people who are in face to face with this invincible enemy, Lord, You are invincible. No one and nothing can thwart your plans for your people. You are our refuge in time of trouble. You are our deliverer when we're losing our battles. You are our restorer, for You are our hope, our strength in the midst of this all. Lord, be our stronghold. Hide us under the shadow of Your wings.

Father, we are lost without you in this pandemic. Keep our eyes focus on You. Help our unbelief. Anchor our hope to You.

In Jesus, name.
Amen.

day thirty seven

A friend of sinners,
A friend to me.

😭😭😭

day thirty six

I woke up with swollen eyes from crying the whole night
Waiting seems to be much longer than before
To the point my hope was buried where you are
So I decided to visit the tomb, where I thought I lost you

It was a red sunrise, and gave a fleeting feeling
The wind was cool and the birds were singing
As I slowly stepped closer to where You are
I was trembling to see that something has changed

The sunrise reminded me of Your loving kindness
The cold breeze woke me to some kind of newness
The birds singing told me to that I too shall sing
Then I found Your place to be clean and quiet

I was perplex to have thought You left again
I was anxious that You never want to see us again
Everything was overwhelming me inside out
Until a Word came to me that You have risen

Upon hearing what my soul needed,
I was then reassured of His forgiveness
His love came rushing relentlessly at me
Once again, I found my self at His feet

Your resurrection is power and glory
It was a lead for me to sing and dance
Your rhythm and beat draws everyone
Your music that has called everything into

Your resurrection secures me of Your promises
Who You say I am and Your cares for everyone
Your death gave it all away, but Your ressurection
It made everything whole and full once again

You are everywhere, You are alive
I shall hear Your voice again from time to time
My peace has come to be and took its rest
Upon knowing my Savior King has Risen

day thirty five

Lord, when your death
was confirmed on the cross
I remember my hopelessness
The life that I delighted from afar
was taken away
not just by a mere distance
Where would I be?
What would be after?
Lord, will you come back?

My world was starting to shake
the moment I couldn't grasp
any life from You
The silence was deafening
Is this the end of it all?

When all is said and done
When guilt and shame I have found
I will use up every bit of faith that holds me
I'll be on my knees wishing for You to come
"This is all that I am,
This is all that I can do,
Lord, my life I offer to you,
may it be a pleasing sacrifice to you."

I am but a short breath
My life is fleeting
with no direction
nor purpose for anything
When you came
though everything didn't make sense
I have found life
overflowing and full
with nothing to compare

But now that You've left
There was a great hole in my chest
I knew You were leaving
But I still found myself unprepared
But God, I will continue
to believe in what You said
I will continue to trust
I will continue to my love in the line
Patiently silent and waiting
I will fight for the dark nights
Until You come again
Until I hear You call me out again

day thirty four

Jesus, when I think about Your grace,
I can't help but truly be grateful.
I am always reminded about how works
doesn't earn it, but You freely give it.
Again and again, guilt creeps in when
I see the world doing wondefully for you
and here I am, feeling disqualified, not enough.
Condemned and guilty,
I find myself imprisoned and tortured,
from daily accusations and lies,
I feel like there's no tomorrow
nor someone to save me from this sorrow.
Everytime I drown in anxities and fear
Everytime I lost and everything is hard to bear
Everytime I died inside slowly
You always come.
You reached out.
You saw me.
You wiped away my tears.
You clothed me clean.
And even in my own mess,
repeating mistakes,
rebellion and infidelity,
You never left.
Instead You forgive.
Again and again.
You lifted the burden,
my shame and my guilt,
my sin,
You took it all away.
You fought with me.
You fought for me.

Now and forever,
I pledge my allegiance to You,
my King.
You will find me at my knees,
always and always,
grateful for finding me.
I will never forget such kindness.
I will never forget Your forgiveness.
Your lovr has healed me, and
Your Presence is more than enough for me.

All these, I pray in the name of Jesus.
Amen.

help-kind-of-assessment

What I've been feeling lately:
Insecure from my relationships

What it's been doing to me:
Constant comparison
Overthinking
Irrational
Emotional
Creating a self-fortress security
Withdrawal from possible stressors
Repeating past hurts
Guilt
Shame

What it's trying to teach me:
Salvation comes from the Lord Jesus alone (incomparable to your functional saviors, eh?)
Selfish ka (you keep on thinking about yourself)
Shakings are necessary; learning is a must
Self-control (gentleness, creativity, kindness, grace)

What do you have to do:
Do not let anyone or anything dictate your response
Thoughts obedient to Christ (His truth about who He says you are)
Praying and Reading the Word strengthens your waiting for healing specially in idle time

You see, I've been trying to fix myself for almost years. Funny I always find myself having these assessments over and over again, and end up getting hard on myself. Why am I doing this anyway? For whom am I fixing myself?  Is there anything that could possible end this insanity? Is there wisdom from what I'm doing? Have you even found the root of it?

If you're like me, who wants to end it, the you know, never ending cycle of insecurities... I think it's gonna be an uphill battle. I remember one kuya, who told me that it's impossible for humans to really overcome their weakness, since temptations are present. Well, I kind'a disagreed with that because I'm all positive that God can really deliver us from our sins... like totally. But you know, I found out that indeed, in God nothing is really impossible. But humans are interestingly impossible too. So where does the problem lies when it comes to sin? Tada! Back to us. I just then learned that human's default is to sin, to disobey God, to be independent from God, to have his way according to his desires. Then left on our own, our once perfect beautiful desires, becomes our misery. Battles against the flesh will continue as long as we're alive. Our battles are most fought spiritually.

Insecurities. You know, as we learn to name our weakness, we don't pet it. But we destroy it. The enemy usually tries to enjoy seeing us going round and round picking wrong battles because we left the shaking undealt. But know that, once you know the root of what's stealing your joy, your purpose, your being, you got the enemy on the neck.

So now when we've got the enemy on the neck? How do we destroy it?

By coming at the foot of the cross and leave it there.

What? That easy? How about the triggers?

What happened has already happened. We have to be reminded that it has to remain where it should be, in the past. Your current day asks of you of what you must today. Insecurities only happen when we are not secured with the love we are receiving. Yes. If you're looking for a remedy for insecurity, that's the love of Jesus. It secures. Mmm. You know there's this once that I did some foolish things because I was fighting the thought that I cannot be insecure because Jesus secures me. Little did I know, when I reasoned it like that, I was actually really running out, running from His love. To cut the long story short, I ruined a beautiful night for everyone and hurt myself in return. Thinking I would atleast get some justice, I found myself in a total wreck.

So why I am telling you this?

Because I know how insecurity stings. I know ugly and worse it makes a person. And it doesn't just ruin you, it ruins everything. BUT our story doesn't end there. There is redemption. When Jesus meets with our worse, He redeems it for His purpose. It may be ugly and dirty before your eyes and others, but the Lord has a purpose for it. As for me, when insecurities strike, it's a call that I'm running out of the my greatest Source, my medicine. Hahaha. I've been reaaally, reaaally sick with insecurities for ages. And just like any patient that has been healed, I can testify how his forgiveness gives peace in the raging battle of hatred within me. He fully knows me, yet still love me deeply; my battle ry since then. It taught me what battles are worth the fight until the end.

This sickness may continue again and again, and I don't know when will I graduate from it. But as long as God is with me, I know I'll be fine. Some mending, some more breaking. As long as He's with me, I'll be fine. And we'll be forever changed by His glory.

This testimony is for you.
I'm very far from perfect.
But every while is worth it.

His love is effective.
You can never go wrong to always choose Him for every single day.
Healed and forgiven.
You can never go wrong to go home with Him at the end of the day.

day thirty

Your Word and prayer will sustain us God
You are the eternal fountain, our source
for strength, patience, kindness, joy
to overflow

Lord, I thank you for the gift of time
Thank you for slowing us down
Thank you for teaching us
that time is short
yet is in Your hands

Thank you that we are able
to see life in every different views
I pray that you give us a heart
to continue to love and believe
I pray that you prepare us
for what You have stored for us

Lord, I pray that You continue to heal the world
Heal us from the bitterness that holds us back
Bitterness from the governement
Bitterness from others' success
Bitterness from ourselves
Heal us from the covid that tries to take away of faith
Lord, You are the Only Healer
Who can make or break
at His Word
You see us.
You hear us.
You know us.

Lord I pray that You keep us secure in the waiting
Idle times come but it doesn't have the best of us
We may become vulnerable and break
But You are our great comfort and cheer
Thank you for upholding us as we go through all this

We bless Your name, Jesus!
Thank You for Your goodness and faithfulness.
Thank You for giving us chances to get better and better.
Thank You for believing.
Thank You for not giving up.

Lord, I'm scared and I'm still insecure.
One day or another, people will leave me
And I know everything still have to continue
I pray that when that comes, it will be painful,
be there for me and please hold me.

Still my heart for the rest of the nights
Still my anxious thoughts every day
Jesus, the keeper of peace
Peace is a promise You keep

All this I pray, in Jesus' name.
Amen.

twenty nine

Thank you, God for your faithfulness every single day
Your goodness has taught us humility
Your mercies that are new every morning
It kept us safe and living

Lord, I pray for those people who are having a hard time in this covid crisis
The financially challenged, the sick emotionally, psychologically, and physically, the imprisoned, the oppressed
Grace them with your favor God
May these people find comfort
May these people find help
In You
Through You
I pray that You wipe the tears in their eyes
I pray that You embrace them tight tonight
I pray that they get to hear how much You love them

I pray for our nation
The government
The church
The people
Lord Jesus, reign over us.
Enthrone our hearts that we may acknowledge
That beginning and end is already in Your hands
You are Sovereign, You are good.
We trust You in the process
Knowing that here, today, is where You want us to be
I pray for wisdom how to make use of the time You have given us to whatever calling you have for us
I pray for strength, that in all that we do, we operate not by emotions but by faith, commitment and consistency
I pray for eyes be open to what You are doing to us inwardly
I pray that as we die to ourselves everyday, we get to see You closer, we get to know You deeper
I pray that by the end of this all, we get to desire more of You
To delight in You, to follow You, overtake us O Lord
You are more than enough, You satisfy our longing souls,
And there's no one, nothing like You
Incomparable
I pray that You continue to lead us to Your truth, in Your direction, for Your purpose

God, I thank You because
whether people believe in You or not
whether people love You or not
whether people
You still heal us
You still reach out to us
You still forgive us
You still call us
by name
Yours
Your everlasting love
steadfast
relentless
committed
perfect

Thank you, Jesus.
