A man is absent from church Sunday morning. Where is he? If he is in a hospital having his appendix removed his absence tells us nothing about him except that he is ill; but if he is out on the golf course, that tells us a lot. To go to the hospital is compulsory; to go to the golf course, voluntary. The man is free to choose and he chooses to play instead of to pray. His choice reveals what kind of man he is. Choices always do....
I think it might be well for us to check our spiritual condition occasionally by the simple test of compatibility. When we are free to go, where do we go? In what company do we feel most at home? Where do our thoughts turn when they are free to turn where they will? When the pressure of work or business or school has temporarily lifted and we are able to think of what we will instead of what we must, what do we think of then?
The answer to these questions may tell us more about ourselves than we can comfortably accept. But we had better face up to things. We haven't too much time at the most.

Differences
Sometime ago, I read an article about making promises to God is not good. Of course, it captured my attention because I have been doing things like that (I think)... Well, it's not actually like I'm quoting "I promise to." Yes, I tried that for times and sometimes I end up breaking them. Then I get frustrated and all. Anyways, if that promise is synonymous with the word commitment, I won't deny myself from this. Everyday, I do make commitments to Him. And it's not like everyday I fulfilled it.
Promises.
Swear.
Commitment.
These 3 words confused me tonight. Well actually what really is vexing is the last paragraph I read in the blog. I didn't understand what it meant. I mean, I wonder if I mistook or misunderstood the example given in the statement.
I knew about this fact as I was growing with God, but the term I encountered was swear.
I believe swearing and making promises are 2 different things in this world. Based on my research, the term swear has 2 possible meanings, either to vow or to curse in English. And if we are to connect it in Matthew 5:33-37, I believe the swear we encountered in this passage is the later meaning. The passage is telling us to not swear falsely but shall perform to the Lord what was sworn.
A simple yes or no, that's what Jesus is waiting for. He is waiting for us to answer His calling of having a commitment, a relationship of love with the Father. And when we are asked to do something, I think its when this yes or no, and not to swear enters. Swearing is like a lukewarm commitment. A loan with a collateral, that's how I think about it. Using everything just to prove its credibility, isn't it much - to also think that we don't have we can boast to?
Promises. Swears. Commitment. Aside from the contradictions I have in mind, do you know what's so good about this? It's God's love. His love eyes that foresees the past, present and future. Most of the time, when we make commitments to God, specially those mediocre promises or compromises, and it breaks. He doesn't only understood our weakness and forgives us from all of these mistakes, also this leads us to become disciplined and more likely know what is His message and give an honest yes or no in the situation.
Whatever it is, one thing is certain: Eternity is in our hearts and no one can ever know the glory He has placed in that area. Finding and knowing all of those things won't be easy but it's always worth it. Just like loving, finding His will for us can also hurt us but everything is assured, secured. As stated in Romans 8:28, everything is in accord to His purpose for us.
If we ever have had promises to Him or any word that is specially binding to Him, WE HAVE TO KEEP IT. That's the key here. I was reading another post from somewhere and I think this has a point. It's not like I encourage everyone to swear and all of it, NO. What I'm trying to tell you here is to listen to that voice inside you and declare whatever He told you by mouth. That's how amazing our mouth can be, our tongue. So better be careful ;)
Another thing is that we have the Bible anyways to guide us. Recently, I just realized that whenever there are things that I do not know what to pray, I can use what I have devotion as a my prayer. I mean, isn't it making a commitment to Him? Asking Him to become what He wants us to be? On the process, the ups and downs, remember to not back up. When its frustrating, just call Him up 'cause He's always there.
Let's not continue to regard our self concerning things that will just confuse us. The truth is already in our hands. We are well taken care of differently, so as special treatment to each and everyone is given. Don't you think it's too grand? Well, that's how GRAND our FATHER is.
Continue to be equipped by God's given armor and always be ready to hear that still small voice in the quietness. Let's not strain ourselves from thinking our failures of breaking our commitment with Him, rather let's look to the confidence God gave us to continue the journey. Let us continue to open our hearts from His leading so that we may understand that as we are given the opportunity to rule in the earths, so as He needs us to make ourselves the one He wants us to be.

When you've done everything you can do, that's when God will step in and do what you can't do.

No matter what weakness you think you may have, no matter what inadequacies or setbacks you’ve encountered, God wants to give you His divine strength! He wants to make up the difference and put you further ahead than you ever thought possible. One time in the Old Testament, God simply multiplied the sound of four men’s footsteps and caused them to sound like a mighty army. When their enemies heard them, they took off running. There were thousands of enemy troops running for their lives, scared to death, thinking they were being attacked by a massive army when, in fact, it was just four people! What happened? God made up the difference.
Friend, God can make you seem bigger than you really are. He can make you look more powerful. He knows how to multiply your influence, your strength, your talent and your income. You don’t have to figure it all out; all you have to do is put your trust in Him. If you will release your faith for a supernatural year and wake up every day expecting God’s far and beyond favor, then you’re going to see God show up and make the difference in every area of your life!

Every day, things come against us in life to try to steal our joy and rob us of our victory. In fact, throughout your whole life, the enemy has had one mission—to kill, steal and destroy your hope, vision and happiness. But I love what it says in today’s verse, “take heart.” In one translation it says, “Be of good cheer.” Now that may seem strange to say right after “in this world you will have trouble,” but when we truly understand that we are overcomers in Christ Jesus, we can be joyful no matter what the circumstances look like. We don’t have to allow our emotions to get rattled. We don’t have to let our nerves go haywire. We can find rest knowing that Jesus has overcome the world and deprived it of the power to harm us.
We have to remember; the things that happen in this life are temporary. We are in this world but not of it. We need to keep our focus on eternal things, things above. Sure, we will have trouble in this life, but we can stay encouraged because in eternity, we are overcomers through Christ Jesus!

Romans 8:28
“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them” (Romans 8:28, NLT).
Every person goes through disappointments and things that don’t seem to make sense. It’s easy to get discouraged and think, “Why did this happen to me?” “Why did my loved one not make it?” “Why did this person treat me wrong?” “Why did I get laid off?”
Friend, we have to understand that even though life is not always fair, God is fair. He promises that He will work all things together for our good. I believe the key word in today’s verse is “together.” In other words, don’t just isolate one part of your life and say, “Well, this is not good.” “It’s not good that I got laid off.” “It’s not good that my child got sick.” “It’s not good that my relationship didn’t work out.” Yes, that’s true, but that’s just one part of your life. God can see the big picture. That disappointment is not the end. Your life doesn’t stop because of one setback. That is simply one piece of your puzzle. There is another piece coming to connect it all because God promises to work all things together for your good!

Howl's moving castle is another magical love story.
I didn't expect for it to be a love story, but it was great! Howl's moving castle doesn't imply the literal but what's with Howl's heart. Another inspirational story that gives important keys that pride and selfishness saps all our good abilities and turn us into someone so vain. Love doesn't actually about the looks. That more than anything else in this world, there's this something in us we'd like to pursue. We might not know it now but who knows, that the spells and curses we are going through are the ways to find what we are looking for. Confidence and love makes us younger than we think.
This movie is lovely, it may be swift but you'll just get carried away by Howl anyway. Here's the link.

Spirited Away, you made me carried away.
Watching Spirited blew me into an amazing world. I was scared, sad, happy. I felt love. It wasn't really emphasized but everything was on purpose. Chihiro experienced all of those things to end up gathering much courage than she had before. It made her desperate to do things for the ones she loved and that everything went good as she earnestly hoped for it. She was courageous and honest, and that's what I loved about her. She hated it, changes. But when one learns to accept it, it could lead us into a new world we never imagined. Change. It's something horrible for me too, but its inevitable. And I think, what's most striking in this movie is doing a favor of not to look back from a very dear person to you. It's like, are you crazy or nuts? How the heck can I do that? Yet its rather for a while. Not looking back is only for a moment. When you've got on your toes back, you can just look back all you want and remember the impossible things you had back then. It's not gonna hurt if you try right? Life has really a lot to offer. It might seem hard but that's how to deal with it. Honesty and courage are two of the best traits we could ever have while living.
In this movie, we can get the feeling that it has the japanese mythology in here, wherein gods and monsters are given to exist. Japanese are do give credits about their gods and goddesses, just like the river gods who helped Chihiro in return for her kindness. And in the contrary, if we put it into Christianity's language, it speaks that God has always been with us, watching over us - "I've known you since you were very small." It made my heart skip a beat and squeak for joy.

Well, I know hard it is. You see I'm in a uni too, so yeah. But this makes me sad specially AHR is one of my favorites. Sigh. Just when everything turns interesting, it seems reality has to strike in. So this is where I read Bikkuri's message regarding scanlating AHR. Also, according to this link, this site is where they actually find new release. I don't actually understand everything, it's all in chinese. I hope I can find a way from all of these. Rorouni Kenshin, Legendary!
Anyone who watches Rorouni Kenshin will probably notice that the story was modified. Of course, it comes along for the benefit of the movie. Anyways, it was epic. I think the japanese casts and the ones behind it was able to nail the epic Samurai X of my youngster days. I was captivated with the music, setting and cinematography. Over all, it was legendary!

Rawr.
Ugh. This looks unfaaaair. The published scanlations of Monokuro Shounen Shoujo fow now is only up to Chapter 15 when everything is already around 53 chapters. Sigh. The story is so cute but I think I must endure the summaries if I really wanted to read it.

Life of Pi
I just finished watching Life of Pi. And it was incredibly amazing. I believe it has a book and more than what the movie offered, I know it's beyond the word awesome.
I am in total awe watching the movie. If only I can put into words what is the state of my heart right now. Well, I started watching it about the climax (because I had to study for the quiz tomorrow) and it gave me heartbreaks as well as comfort along.
When the tiger drowned.
When he killed the fish and asked for forgiveness.
When the night came.
When those flying fish came.
When he tamed the tiger.
When he started to live with the tiger.
When he thought help was already at hand.
When he asked Richard Parker "What are you looking at. Talk to me. Tell me what you see."
When the storm came.
When he saw a glimpse of God.
When that poisonous island sprouted.
When he said "No one has seen that floating island since... And yet if i hadn't found those shores, I would have died. If I hadn't discovered the truth, I would have been lost, alone forever. Even when God seemed to have abandon me, He was watching. Even if he seemed indifferent to my sufferings, He was watching. And when I was beyond hope from saving, He gave me rest, that gave me a sign to continue my journey."
When he survived and realized "I wept like a child. Not because I was overwhelmed that I have survived.. I was weeping because Richard Parker left me so unceremoniously. He broke my heart... I spend the whole of life of letting go, but what hurts the most is not taking a moment to say goodbye."
Those experiences were absolutely incredible. While watching, I was asking God why those things must come to happen. It was painful. It was scary. Then this quote from the book of the movie said “I was giving up. I would have given up - if a voice hadn't made itself heard in my heart. The voice said "I will not die. I refuse it. I will make it through this nightmare. I will beat the odds, as great as they are. I have survived so far, miraculously. Now I will turn miracle into routine. The amazing will be seen everyday. I will put in all the hard work necessary. Yes, so long as God is with me, I will not die. Amen.”
This movie had me realize to never give up to wherever or whatever situation I'm in. This is life. I might be sailing on the wide pacific like I don't know how to survive but He is good to let me survive. He is good to make me live the life I think is impossible to. He is good to make me see that glimpse of glory in the middle of that deathly storm. He is good to deliver me from this hard life.
Because He said so. Because He promised.

HOMRA
Currently watching K and HOMRA is ♥
Can someone give me a Misaki Yata?
Haha. The anime from the very start gives me chills from the spine. The technology reminds me about Windows 8 - the sorta things nowadays that are touchscreens etc. Everything was cool! The characters. The animation.
I started reading the prequel of the K anime which are, I believe, the manga: K - Memory of Red and K - the stray dog. You can read the mangas out there somewhere. I was really asking why the Memory of Red has an aura of like someone's going to die and base from the anime, to which I had some advance reading from K project wiki, someone really died and that's where the action started.
I don't really know everything but I'm looking forward for future cooler events from HOMRA. Izana and Mikoto died though. I don't know how their respective clans started to get everything in action.
Please, don't let it be a shounen ai or yaoi. TT_TT

So I was really intrigue with the story from the beginning then I was able to read the current issues and - WHOAAA. I've never been so much into another manga, like it was forever. Hahaha. Miyamura is so coo. Haha. He might be somekind'a stupid but he's way, way, way cool. I don't know if he's a gentleman or just stupid. But he's sweet. And when he becomes a mister, oh my, I got all the giggles in the world. Haha. But seriously, he's funny.
As I ended up the current chapter in Mangahere I read thereafter that the author HERO has this site http://dka-hero.com wherein He made the whole Horimiya story. Well the drawings were crappy and the scanlations and translations were still nowhere to be found. I think its the author's own without the artist yet. It's quite long 'ya know. As I tried to open the site, I found that it already reached 444 (if I'm not mistaken). According to some that I read, well I'll take it like spoilers, the story has become sensitive. I don't know if it has become ecchi but I hope not so.
Currently, I like what I still read in the manga. But if you've got interested from what I also discovered. Feel free to visit the site and follow these instructions:
1.Click middle button (pic)
2.then under comic you'll see a picture of a girl with brown hair (click it)
3.Then you will see numbers with pictures (1-20 21-40 ect...)
4.those are lists of chapters.. click on one of them, and then click on the subcategories..
